We are pleased to announce the birth of the POW2MED laboratory (from powders to medical robotics through additive manufacturing).

The lab is dedicated to producing metal powders using the ATOLAB+ (3DLab) system, capable of atomizing wires, bars, and—thanks to the IMS system—even scraps or semi-finished products. These powders are used in the 2CREATE L-PBF (2 One Lab) machine, featuring a 250 W laser and 2BUILD software for full parameter management and DoE generation. POW2MED also enables powder mixing to create new custom alloys or MMCs. We thank 3DLAB, SIMU, and the FIT4MEDROB project for the support, challenges, and funding received.
