Within the framework of the “Giovani Ricercatori – Fondazione Cariplo” call, we are pleased to announce the award of a €197’840 grant for the implementation of the project “3D Scalable Bioprinted and Micromachined Lab-On-Chip Platforms for Brain Organoid Monitoring (3DBIOMICS)”, with Dr. Miriam Seiti as Principal Investigator at the University of Brescia. The project was selected for its high scientific value and strongly innovative approach, based on the development of sensorized, biomimetic Brain-on-Chip (BoC) platforms, enabled by innovative biomaterials and advanced additive manufacturing and micromachining techniques. The aim is to develop scalable microfluidic systems for the functional monitoring of brain organoids, improving the reproducibility of conventional models and advancing the understanding of complex neurobiological processes. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Northwestern University (USA), strengthening an international partnership focused on interdisciplinary research.
