In partnership with Kilometro Rosso and Lombardy companies, the RIGENER-AM project aims to address one of today's most pressing challenges: transforming industrial waste into new resources. This project aims to reduce the environmental impact of production and strengthen its competitiveness. The underlying idea is simple yet revolutionary: regenerating metal and textile waste into innovative alloys and polymers for use in Additive Manufacturing, better known as industrial 3D printing.
The initiative, supported by the Lombardy Region with a subsidized grant of €2 million out of a total budget of approximately €4 million, represents an innovative model of an advanced circular economy.
The materials are not simply reused, but transformed into new high-performance resources with added value and superior characteristics compared to the originals.
