At the University of Bergamo (Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering) an Additive Manufacturing section has been designed within the Laboratories of Technologies and Processing Systems, equipped with the main additive printing technologies for metals (L-PBF, DED, metal-MEX) and auxiliary technologies such as Wire-EDM, 5-axis CNC and dimensional control systems (CMM; digital microscopes, SEM). It is a multidisciplinary space with national and international collaborations aimed at optimizing processes, industrializing alloys obtained from the recycling of end-of-life components to produce mechanical and biomedical components. The mission is to create a center where synergies can be created between different skills.
