The DREAMJM research infrastructure (Design and Research for Enhanced Additive Manufacturing, Joining and Materials) operates in the field of Advanced Manufacturing and is funded by the Piedmont Region. The project focuses on developing multidisciplinary solutions for innovative production, aimed at improving the efficiency of additive and joining processes, reducing waste, and promoting environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The infrastructure includes additive manufacturing systems, MIG and Laser welding stations, and equipment for analysing material deformations and physical and thermal properties. Tools for the development of new polymeric materials and advanced quality control will also be available. The project has a total budget of €5,350,000 and is coordinated by Politecnico di Torino, with Prof. Luca Iuliano as scientific coordinator, in partnership with the University of Eastern Piedmont and Competence Industry Manufacturing 4.0 S.C.A.R.L.
