PURPOSE

The course aims to provide a state-of-the-art overview of the most innovative tools and topics in the field of production technologies and systems. The course will focus on the most current research methods and techniques, as well as research organization methods. A significant part of the course will be dedicated to the discussion of case studies that will provide an in-depth look at the topics covered.

WHO IS IT FOR

The course is intended primarily for academic research staff, doctoral students, research fellows, and young researchers in the scientific-disciplinary sector IIND-04/A (formerly ING-IND/16) or related fields, as well as industrial personnel actively engaged in research and development activities.

PROGRAM

The course will present the scientific topics carried out by AITeM’s “Sezioni”, which are responsible for developing and disseminating the most advanced knowledge in specific sectors deemed strategic for the technologies and manufacturing systems. They represent the bridge between the Universities and the Italian manufacturing industries.

The presentations will be led by university professors and researchers involved in research activities currently supported by AITeM’s “Sezioni”, as well as by technical staff from Hexagon, a multinational company operating in the fields of metrology and measurement systems, digital twins, and automation technologies.

The course will take place during the AITeM 2026 Workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the afternoon sessions, as well as the cocktail reception and gala dinner.
