PURPOSE

The course aims to provide a state-of-the-art overview of the most innovative tools and topics in the field of production technologies and systems. The course will focus on the most current research methods and techniques, as well as research organization methods. A significant part of the course will be dedicated to the discussion of case studies that will provide an in-depth look at the topics covered.


WHO IS IT FOR

The course is intended primarily for academic research staff, doctoral students, research fellows, and young researchers in the scientific-disciplinary sector IIND-04/A (formerly ING-IND/16) or related fields, as well as industrial personnel actively engaged in research and development activities.


PROGRAM

The course will present the scientific topics carried out by the Sections of AITeM, which are responsible for developing and disseminating the most advanced knowledge in specific sectors deemed strategic for the technologies and manufacturing systems. They represent the bridge between the Universities and the Italian manufacturing industries.

The presentations will be led by university professors and researchers involved in research activities currently supported by the Sections, as well as by technical staff from Hexagon, Beckoff Automation e Almatec.

The course will be organized in parallel sessions, according to the program shown below. The participants will preliminary specify, during application, the sessions to be attended.

The course will take place during the AITeM 2026 WorkshopParticipants will therefore have the opportunity to attend the afternoon sessions.

When registering, participants must indicate whether they wish to attend the social events, such as the gala dinner on September 7th and the farewell cocktail on September 8th, at no additional cost.

REGISTRATION AND KICK OFF MEETING

Participants must be at 8:30 am on September 7, 2026, at the entrance room of Palazzo Garzolini di Toppo Wassermann, Via Gemona, 92, Udine.


CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION - RECOGNITION OF EDUCATIONAL CREDITS

At the end of the course, participants may request a certificate of attendance if they have attended at least 80% of the scheduled sessions. To check this requirement, each participant must sign a register upon entry and exit.

The attendance of the entire course and the development of an individual final project, subject to evaluation, guarantee the assignment of 4 ECTS. The methods for preparing and sending the final project will be communicated by the Director of the Academy during the course.


REGISTRATION FEES

€ 180 for PhD students and university researchers

€ 360 for industrial personnel (€ 240 fot one-day participation)

22% VAT applies for non AITeM members.

10% discount applies for AITeM members.

The registration fee includes participation to the course, lunches, coffee breaks, dinner gala, farewell cocktail and the use of teaching material, written in English.

All participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.


WHERE TO STAY

The booking of accommodation is the responsibility of each individual participant.

The recommended reservation, useful for attending the entire course, is for a three-night stay, with arrival on Sunday, September 6th and departure on Wednesday, September 9th.
