ISIEA 2023

ISIEA 2023

Dear colleague/friend

the 2nd International Symposium on Industrial Engineering and Automation (ISIEA 2023) will take place in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy, on June 22nd-23rd, 2023. The special theme of ISIEA 2023 is “Towards a Smart, Resilient and Sustainable Industry”, and we are going to chair a session on “Smart Sustainable Manufacturing”.

The session aims to come up with a different perspective or even solutions in the hot stream of sustainable manufacturing debate, hopefully exploring (but not limited to) the following topics: (a) design of sustainable production systems and factories; (b) connected and autonomous smart factories; (c) digital technologies and digital twins; (e) sustainable manufacturing and de-manufacturing; (f) zero-defect manufacturing strategies in smart factories; (g) resource and energy-efficient manufacturing; (h) industrial cases towards Industry 4.0 and 5.0.

We would be glad to receive your latest research contribution. All accepted papers will be published in the ISIEA 2023’s proceedings, unless the authors oppose the publication of their contribution. The proceedings will form a volume of Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems – Scopus-indexed.
The upcoming deadlines for submissions are December 16th 2022 (abstract,
optional) and January 27th 2023 (full paper). Templates will be made available soon along with the opening of the submission system. All papers will be reviewed by a panel of internationally renowned scientists.

We look forward to receiving your contribution and we are available for any clarification concerning the special track. Feel free to communicate us your intention to send a contribution and to advertise ISIEA 2023 and the special track with your friends/colleagues.
