Manuthon\u00ae returns with its 2026 edition<\/strong>, taking place on 8-9 May in Florence<\/strong>, hosted by the University of Florence<\/strong> at The Social Hub Belfiore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Promoted by AITeM<\/strong>, Manuthon\u00ae brings the hackathon format into the world of manufacturing<\/strong>, with the goal of fostering creativity<\/strong>, problem-solving<\/strong>, and teamwork<\/strong> through real technological challenges.
\nThe initiative is aimed at around 100 university students and young graduates under the age of 32<\/strong> (bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, PhD, and postgraduate programs) from across Italy, who will compete by developing innovative ideas and solutionsin response to challenges proposed by partner companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the event, participants will work in teams in an intensive, nearly two-day non-stop competition<\/strong>, supported by academic and industry mentors, culminating in the final presentation of their projects to a panel of expert judge.<\/p>\n

The 2026 edition will involve leading industrial players: Gold Partners<\/strong> \u2014who will present the challenges\u2014 include \nBaker Hughes<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>Istituto Italiano della Saldatura<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>Borg (Reuman consortium)<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and \nAltform<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, \nwhile Oniro<\/a> joins as a Silver Partner<\/strong>. Companies will also take part in the judging panel and in mobile teams, supporting participants throughout the development process.<\/p>\n

Participation is free of charge<\/strong>, and registration is open via the official website www.manuthon.it<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. Applicants may register individually or as part of a team.<\/p>\n

Cash prizes<\/strong> will be awarded to the winning groups: \u20ac1,500 for the overall first-place team<\/strong> and \u20ac1,000 for the winners of each individual challenge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
